Along with the police, RPF, GRP and security agencies engaged in uncovering the conspiracy to derail the Kalindi Express, they have also restarted the investigation of old rail accidents on the pretext of Kalindi Express. The investigating officers have also started investigating the conspirators of those cases.
The police is also investigating the horoscopes of those people of Fatehpur, Kanpur, Lucknow and Kanpur Dehat and other nearby districts who came under suspicion during the investigation of old railway accidents. The activities and social status of these people are being looked into. In fact, even after seven days of the incident, the police and investigation agencies are empty handed. On the basis of CCTV footage, about 30 people including suspects, history sheeters and miscreants of the incident spot and nearby villages were interrogated.
